Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy explains what information Veg Thailand collects and how we use it. We aim to comply with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and, for visitors in the EU/UK, the GDPR.
What we collect
- Account email — if you sign in, we store your email address to authenticate you (via a one-time login link). We never see or store a password.
- Content you submit — reviews, ratings, photos and place suggestions you choose to post, along with your display name.
- Saved places — the listings you favourite, so they sync to your account.
- Basic analytics — anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g. page views) to understand traffic. We do not use this to identify you.
How we use it
To run the site: sign you in, show your reviews/photos and saved places, moderate content, and improve the directory. We do not sell your personal data.
Where it's stored
Account data and your contributions are stored with our backend provider (Supabase). Photos you upload are stored in our hosted storage and shown publicly alongside the relevant place.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can delete your reviews/photos or your account at any time. To make a request, contact us via the “Suggest a place” form or the email shown there.
Cookies & local storage
We use minimal local storage to remember your saved places and login session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
This is a plain-language summary provided in good faith; for a commercial launch you should have it reviewed by a qualified professional.
